Bell Hotel - Bottom of Kings Street, Thetford Norfolk

Thetford Town Centre - Bell Hotel - Bottom of Kings Street

On the left is the ancient Bell Hotel, one of the old coaching inns of the town. The Statue of Thomas Paine can be seen on the right - with Kings House sitting behind it.

Thetford has its own town council - the lowest level of local government. However, it has few powers, and is effectively governed by Breckland Council, whose responsibilities cover a larger area, including the nearby market towns of East Dereham, Swaffham, Watton, and Attleborough.
