Thetford Grammar School is a very old institute. Before the site became a school, it was used by a friary, before that, a short-lived cathedral, before that, a priory. This photo shows the school chapel. Thetford Grammar School is a mixed sex private school, serving both boarders and day students. However, it was for some time a state grammar school. Thetford also has two state (local education authority) comprehensive schools for children aged from 11 years up.
