Blade-Like Flint Flake

I am standing here at Two Mile Bottom, Thetford, in the middle of a number of Mesolithic microlith sites recorded on the Norfolk SMR. These sites include a number of the favourite collecting spots of the late 19th- and early 20th-century Breckland Flinters, and also a nearby excavation at the power station that produced Mesolithic finds during the late 1990s.

On Survey 39 on this Thetford Forest compartment, I noted a percentage of blade-like flakes such as this one, which suggested Mesolithic or Early Neolithic activity here.
