Kings Forest, Suffolk
This view of Kings Forest - a section of Thetford Forest Park is taken from Google Earth at an elevation of 7 km. This can be seen as a landscape in transition. Note the old 20th century state-planning style of regimental blocks, and then look at how the Forestry Enterprise are now remodelling the forest by felling and replanting to newer curvy jigsaw puzzle plans, to create a new ascetic more natural feel to the forest. Some landscape historians however, are concerned that by doing so, they might also remove older lines such as field and land divisions that predate afforestation.
