Abandoned Car in Little Ouse Valley, Thetford
Walking into the forest from the Norfolk town of Thetford, along the Little Ouse Valley - the chances are that you are going to encounter the archaeology of modern society - abandoned cars, scooters, shopping trolleys, prams, plastic sacks of rubbish and trash. Many of these objects will be in the river - what would future archaeologists make of them? Maybe ritual deposits?
