Grime's Graves Round Barrows

Weeting-with-Bromehill, Norfolk – Thetford Forest

There are two pairs of prehistoric tumuli marked on the Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 maps close to the Grime's Graves Neolithic flint mine site. The northern pair are situated on the north side of the road leading from the A1065 to Grime's Graves, located at TL 8037 9010 and TL 8033 9006 respectively. They sit within a recently felled compartment and are quite abraded.

The photograph below features the southern pair's better-preserved round barrow, located within the forest at TL 8044 8927, between Grime's Graves and Bromehill Cottage.
