Mildenhall Warreners Lodge - a Medieval Survivor

This photo was taken following extensive conservation work on the building. Warreners lodges were fortified medieval buildings for the warrener and his family. They were situated high up in the warrens, so that gangs of poachers could be seen for some distance.
