Flint Plano-Convex Knife

Small find - flint plano-convex knife

Possibly dates from the Early Bronze Age, maybe a little earlier. This is an example of a plano-convex knife. It was found at Brandon Suffolk on forest-walk 8. This is located on the further most out gravel terrace. I often find waste cores on the terraces. Plano-convex knives like this are chunky tools. This flint knife is made of an attractive creamy raw material.
