Travellers Hill - Round Barrow, Kings Forest, Suffolk

Travellers Hill (Wordwell Suffolk) is another round barrow located in Thetford Forest - in this case, deep into Kings Forest at OS grid ref.TL842745. Many of these round barrows are marked on Ordnance Survey maps, especially the pathfinder series, as tumulus. Barrows are often on 'borders' outside of settlements. Finds are uncommon around the barrows. They were often later incorporated into medieval boundaries of parishes and hundreds.
