Features in Thetford Forest

This is a recent photo of some ridges, lumps, and bumps in Thetford Forest that I am reconsidering. I have known about them for years, but always considered them either as natural features - maybe glacial gravel deposits, or as recently manmade. After all, they are too big to have been missed by everbody else. Now I am beginning to wonder. What do you think?
